CLIMATE CONTROLLED FIRING RANGE
“CASC” ( Combat Arms Systems) is developing the first Climate Controlled Firing Range in the world. This is a major undertaking to develop these 900 feet, 6 lane CCFR. All technology partners have committed that their technology is capable of changing the temperature in the six lanes from room temperature to -80 F and +160 F with full control of temperature adjustment.
The “CASC” CLIMATE CONTROLLED FIRING RANGE is the result of years in concept design by Dennis M. Butts for use by Federal Agencies, SWAT Teams, Military, Special Operations Teams, and law enforcement training.
The “CASC” Climate Controlled Firing Range will also be heavily involved in the testing of the PROGRAMMABLE GLASS BULLET “PGB” being developed by HONOR VALOR COURAGE CORPORATION, Sandia National Labs and DoE.
The advanced technology required to develop the “CSAC” Climate Controlled Firing Range (CCFR) is a collaboration between eight companies.
The CCFR is under the administration of Christina Ann Kistler. Christina is an avid shooter and a gunsmith. Christina has years of management, accounting and sales experience.
The History of InVeris Training Solutions: Preparing You for the Unexpected
InVeris Training Solutions provides live-fire and virtual firearms training systems to military and security forces, law enforcement agencies and commercial shooting range owners, as well as first responders and corrections units around the world. But did you know that InVeris Training Solutions – through its legacy brands FATS® and Caswell – has been a leading live-fire and virtual systems provider for more than 90 years?
The Caswell story: Pioneering safe and accurate live fire training. Founded in 1926, Caswell International provided high-quality live-fire range systems, serving the law enforcement community, commercial gun ranges and security forces. In 2003, the UK company Meggitt PLC acquired Caswell International. This acquisition was based on Caswell’s reputation as an innovator in the live-fire shooting industry.
Since 1926, Caswell provided shooting range innovations resulting in many successful product launches including: 1) the world’s first moving target system; 2) the industry’s first environmentally friendly bullet trap that reduces lead dust; 3) the industry’s first wireless range control device; and 4) the world’s first fully mobile shooting range.
The FATS story: Transforming training through simulation. Fast forward to 1984 and the emergence of Firearms Training Systems Inc. or FATS, an innovative computer-based simulation company that transformed the law enforcement and defense firearms simulation training markets. In 2006, Meggitt PLC acquired FATS. This acquisition was based on FATS’ reputation as the leader in the development, manufacturing and support of simulation small and combined arms training systems, indirect fire/forward air control and vehicle trainers.
The FATS military simulators are the system of record for the US Army, US Marines (USMC), United Kingdom Ministry of Defence (UK MOD), US National Guard, US Air Force (USAF), Canadian Army, Royal Canadian Navy, Royal Canadian Air Force, Australia Defense Forces (ADF), Singapore Army and Singapore Police Coast Guard. FATS invented BlueFire® wireless weapon simulators that replicate the form, fit and function of live weapons, and provide the same accurate, real-time training diagnostics as tethered weapon simulators.
The Story Continues: Merging virtual and live fire training. In 2008, Meggitt PLC merged Caswell and FATS to create Meggitt Training Systems. This merger sought to capitalize on synergies resulting from combining the operations of Caswell and FATS to provide both live fire and simulation training as an integrated product offering.
InVeris Training Solutions: The New Chapter. In 2020, Pine Island Capital Partners, a private equity firm headquartered in Washington, D.C., acquired Meggitt Training Systems. Pine Island Capital Partners offers a differentiated approach to private equity investing in the middle market through the composition and specialized knowledge of its team. The firm has combined an experienced investment team with a group of Washington-based partners that includes former prominent members of Congress, ambassadors, and military and defense leaders with significant private sector experience. The team and its partners were drawn to the acquisition because of the technological leadership and customer-centric commitment they saw in Meggitt Training Systems. They now see the opportunity to expand the new InVeris Training Solutions to meet the changing training needs of training for an ever-wider group of customers and stakeholders.
CAREYSCENTRAL www.careyscentral.com With over 25 years' experience in engineering and applications in hundreds of indoor firing ranges since 1995, we have coordinated with Environmental Engineers, Designers, and users to create ventilation and air filtration systems that are second to none. Carey's Range Ventilation design has been accepted as the standard for all Naval Indoor Firing Ranges. Our installation at the Great Lakes Recruit Training Center has become the model for all future Naval Range Ventilation systems.
Our systems have been installed in military, police, and civilian Firing Ranges across the United States, and have now expanded to sites in Europe and Asia. Our Ventilation Systems are designed to ensure proper airflow and air filtration in any indoor firing range. CASEYCENTRAL has verified that they can provide the required system to bring the temperature done in increment from 70 degrees to -80 degrees.
INSTANTON ENERGY www.instanton.energy In the face of blackouts, fires, and other natural disasters, customers experience first-hand the need to decouple their reliance on the utility companies, to protect against outages, and to ensure resiliency for homes and businesses. Traditional backup generators have been described as a dirtier, less safe, and expensive solution. Solar, even if paired with batteries, do not guarantee protection. Microgrid energy systems which utilize Fuel Cells provide reliable resiliency. Instanton Energy Fuel Cell provides the heat for the high temperatures required to have 160F plus down range.
CONTROL ROOMS SOLUTIONS
Dynamic and secure control rooms
Robust and multipurpose solutions built for use in secure, mission-critical environments, such as command & control, integrated operations centers, security & network operations centers, emergency and crisis management rooms.
COMMAND & CONTROL CENTERS
Building the next generation of secure and dynamic Command & Control centers
The nature of threats is changing. As an effect, Government, Defense and Intelligence organisations are looking for a new generation of Command & Control centers that are both secure and dynamic to provide the level of situational awareness needed to make informed and fast decisions.
MOTION CAPTURE TECHNOLOGY
MCT was established in the early 1990’s under the direction of David Wiese. Our roots began in laser based measurement equipment but by the late 90’s our focus shifted to high speed video imaging products from Redlake, Kodak MASD, Roper Scientific, and Photron. Through the years, MCT has prided itself in offering the broadest range of high speed video cameras in the world and we’ve accomplished this by aligning ourselves with the industries top manufacturers and people. These long standing relationships are not only a testament to MCT’s reliability and competance, but they are a resource we pass on to our customers through engineering support, education, and preferred dealer pricing.
Today, MCT remains a leader in the scientific imaging community. Along with our own brand, we offer products from Photron, AOS, Fastec, and our new infrared thermal line from InfraTec. Through these products, relationships, and 25+ years of experience, we look forward to the future!
Sometimes referred to as high speed imaging or slow motion cameras, these cameras capture a single image on a frame of video and then advance to the next frame. The framing rate (fps – frames per second) determines how many opportunities the user has to view the event during the event cycle. Playing this sequence of frames, offers a “super slow motion” video experience. The shutter speed is independently set and determines the “stop motion” capability of the camera. The faster the shutter, the less blur will be seen in the individual images (frames).
